The Wellington Makerspace is offering a series of Intro Workshops on “How to get started” with the latest computer-controlled creativity-machines.
You will probably have seen examples of fantastic new products and designs on the internet… and may have wondered “how on earth do they do that”?
The good news is that we now have a Makerspace!… with the tools and techniques for YOU to create similar pieces yourself. We’re putting together a special guided-learning workshops for people who would like to dip a toe in the water, and learn how to create designs for 3D Printers, Laser-Cutters and CNC Machines.
We’re running a series of sessions, every Monday/Wednesday evenings in Central Wellington. Bring along your ideas, and together we’ll learn how to bring them to life. Checkout chalkle.com for updates and to book your spot!
This informal and relaxed [but serious] workshop covers:
- Introduction to designing on the computer, the benefits, techniques & principles of computer aided design.
- Introduction to CAD software and “What the?…” questions. How your designs can be created on-screen -quickly!
- How to take your design, and make it on the laser cutter, 3D printer or other machines.
(The Wellington Makerspace offers all Membership holders a 15% discounted rate on all use of its 3D Printers, Laser-Cutters, CNC Machines.)
Each evening course costs $40 per person.
The workshops normally run from around 6.30 to 8.30 at The Wellington Makerspace, Lv1, 6 Vivian Street Wellington.
